💙Swimming Lessons💙
Written by Emeli Sione
Illustrated by Jenny Cooper
1. Why do you think the children tell Dad that he needs to learn to swim? Because they know that it is important to know how to swim. This means that he would be able to help them if they get into difficulty while swimming. It also means that they can have fun with their dad in the water.
2.What sort of things do you think that the children got stickers for? For listening to the swimming coach and doing what she tells them. For putting their faces in the water. For floating like a starfish.
3. What did you like about the story? I liked that it was about learning to swim, as swimming is fun but also a skill that is important. If you get into trouble in the water, knowing how to keep afloat could save your life.
4. What is another skill that is important to learn? It is important to learn how to read so that you can understand learning, follow directions, learn how to drive, be safe.

diamante poem
It has a diamond shape because you write one word, then two words, then three words then four words in the middle and then three, two, one word to get this shape. I like everything about it because it was easy. I wrote about a tree and the sky because they're both outside. The tree is in the ground but it reaches up to the sky.
Watercolour collage
splat
blend
salt
This is a picture of my watercolours collage.
The materials we used were paintbrushes, water, water colour paint, salt, and paper.
We were only allowed to use two colours.
My paper was divided into four parts. The top left part is blended colour. The top right is salt on watercolour. We put salt on it and then we waited and it looks like sugar. The bottom left are drips where we dripped the paint onto the paper. The bottom right one is a splat where we put paint on the paintbrush and threw the paint at the paper.
I like all these techniques because I like paint.
